The Kijanisha Afya Peer-to-Peer Learning Workshop, held on October 21–22, 2024, in Dodoma, successfully brought together key stakeholders in the healthcare value chain to enhance the capacity for greening health facilities.
The workshop facilitated impactful discussions on integrating public and private funding for healthcare electrification, sharing innovative practices, and strengthening collaboration between government entities, private sector players, and healthcare professionals. With a strong focus on sustainable and renewable energy solutions in Tanzania’s healthcare sector, the event addressed critical energy challenges faced by health facilities.
Through effective communication and media coverage, the workshop’s goals, outcomes, and key messages were widely disseminated, raising the profile of the Kijanisha Afya initiative and underscoring its vital contributions to healthcare sustainability.
